WHAT to DO and WHERE to SEND EXPIRED GROCERY COUPONS!!!

HOW to Send Them

Stop tossing those expired grocery coupons in the trash!  Our U.S. military families stationed overseas are able to use them on base for up to SIX MONTHS after the manufacturer's expiration date!  Help us keep our list of participating bases up to date.  If you know of a base that needs to be added or removed from our list please contact us with their current mailing information--we update our mailing list every month!

When sending your expired grocery coupons keep in mind the time it takes to mail your coupons internationally--usually many weeks--so do try to get them sent off quickly.  Of course if you know a military family personally you should probably send your coupons directly to them--if you do not you are welcome to send them to the bases we list on our site.  When the coupons are received someone at the base will either distribute the coupon donations to needy families or place them in an area where they can be picked up by families at the PX or Commissary.  (Note: They can only accept regular manufacturer's coupons like from the newspaper inserts--no special "in store" coupons or Internet printed coupons--in some cases they may be able to use Internet coupons but they will be able to print them on their own.  A few of our military families have also asked us to pass along this request, if you have time, it's also very helpful to separate the coupons into two categories, one for FOOD and one for NON-FOOD, then place them in plastic bags.  This will help them with sorting for the families when they arrive at the base.)

As our list is widely viewed by many readers and bases are sometimes "adopted" by community groups, you may receive a letter from the base stating that they now have enough coupons and do not need any more help.  If this happens just let me know and I will remove them from our list.  (Or, if you are a base and you have accidentally been removed from our list and want back on please contact us right away so your families can start receiving coupons from our readers again!)

GrocerySavingTips.com maintains our base address list on a monthly basis, unlike other coupon address lists you may find on the Internet that may or may not be current. If you have any additional info or bases that we should ADD or REMOVE please contact michelle@grocerysavingtips.com -- include the country and mailing address in the format as we have listed below if you can.  If you can't, don't worry, we will figure it out!  If you don't have a military family member overseas, maybe you know someone who does?  Please have them contact us if they would like their base to be added to our mailing list! :o)

Thank You for Helping Us

With Our Military Family Coupon Project!

Addressing your package... The post office may request a specific contact name when you go to mail your coupons.  Just explain to them that we cannot maintain a list of personal contact names because they CHANGE constantly and that we are a volunteer group donating grocery coupons to help our military families stationed overseas. The postal worker can also open and inspect the package if that will help and verify that the contents are grocery coupons being sent to our U.S. commissaries overseas.  Addressing the package directly to the Commissary or "Family Services" should also help.

Also, the USPS requests, "Do not include the country or the base camp's city, as it might be routed through the host country's mail system."  We have include this extra information in our address list below so you will know where they are located, but when you mail your envelopes you will address them like this...

Family Services (or Information We Have Listed)
Unit Number, Box Number
APO AE 00000

Note: The APO/FPO is used for the "City" and AA/AE/AP is the "State"

In addition... we would like to suggest that you contact the base first if you are sending a large amount of coupons as a group to make sure they are still accepting coupons.  Their circumstances can change on a monthly basis and we are doing the best we can to keep our mailing list current for everyone.

The letters we receive from some of the families who are benefiting from these coupons are wonderful, they truly do appreciate your help!!!  So if you have a pile of expired grocery coupons just pick an address and get them off in the mail to our military families who can use them! :o)

 U.S. Air Force:

This military base address list is CURRENT and managed by www.GrocerySavingTips.com, please check back with us for updates before mailing your expired grocery coupons.  We update our list every month.  Anyone who copies this list and moves it off this page is doing all of us a disservice.  Copies that are on the web and elsewhere will become out of date very quickly!  Thank you for your support! :o)

Families, Clubs and Organizations who would like to "adopt" a base... PLEASE do not only pick one group to send your coupons to.  Check back with us each month, or whenever you are ready to mail the expired coupons, and choose a different base that you have not recently sent coupons to.  If everyone will do this, the coupons will be well distributed instead of overwhelming... which eventually leads to complete rejection.

February 2010: From the Incirlik base... "Michelle, Thank you so much for putting our base on your coupon list. Yes we take any and all coupons that you have. I’m currently the one and only coupon volunteer on base and I LOVE IT!!  I started back in October as I use coupons myself, the Family Center didn’t have anyone helping with their program, so I started it. To say the least it has been a great success, in part with your help getting us coupons. In fact this month (February) is military saves month and I am doing a coupon saving contest with 2 winners (one for the most saved and one for the most % saved) the interest has been tremendous. I just want to Thank you for help getting the information out and look forward to any and all contributions to our program. Thanks again!"  couponladydarlene @ gmail.com

June 2010: From the base... "Thanks to all of you for making our program here at Incirlik, AFB, Turkey a great success. Since I've been on vacation in the states for over a month...our coupon supply is overwhelming. Please hold off on any more coupons until August or Sept., it will take me probably that long to get through all of these.  Thanks again and we look forward to more coupons."

(NOTE TO ALL!!! This base has asked to be removed several times, they are receiving more coupons than they can possible handle, from many sources.  We took them off our list, but people are still out there sending coupons from lists that have likely been erroneously passed around.  This is why we ask for people to use our list as a main resource as we stay in contact with the bases and keep our list up to date.  Then before you send your coupons out during the year, check back with us to make sure your favorite base is still accepting coupons! :o)

April 2010: From the Sigonella Base... "I just came across your site and wanted to see if you have Sigonella, Sicily on your list of bases to send coupons to.  I do know that some people already send some here, but it never hurts to have too much :).  And a variety.  The problem I've come across is that we get a whole bunch of the same thing for the same products.  Though it doesn't help that our Commissary is much smaller than average, so some products are not usually carried.  And, we were actually able to use some Internet based printed coupons here.  Which helps, as we use those on the organic milk products.  At one time they were thinking of no longer accepting the printed coupons, but they still are!  Knocking on wood that doesn't stop.  Thanks!! :) - Michella "

PLEASE HELP US KEEP THIS LIST UP TO DATE!  If you have an address that we need to add or remove please contact the editor at michelle@grocerysavingtips.com -- with the country and address as we have listed above.  THANK YOU!!!

ATTN: WEBMASTERS AND BLOGGERS... You can also help by linking to this page but PLEASE do not try to copy the list of addresses for your readers as this information is updated on a MONTHLY  basis.  If you copy and post the list somewhere else it will be incorrect within a very short time and that will not help our families overseas.  Trust us, this is a lot harder to maintain than it may look.  Our staff has been working on this Military Family Coupon Project for many years and we do our best to make sure our list is up to date every month.  Helping families save money on groceries is what we do!!! :o)
